Beatriz Welch

Beatriz Welch has spent a good deal of time in Texas and New Mexico, and her works reflect the warm colors of these states. Having lived in many countries, she remembers the mountains of her native South America and the mists of and coolness of Ireland, as well as the vastness of North Africa's beautiful coasts; all of which continue to influence her perceptions.
Her formal art education was in Madrid, Spain and in Dublin, Ireland. In the United States, she has attended a number of workshops, including a Master Class on outdoor landscape painting with Scott Christensen.
She is a signature member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP) and her artwork has been accepted at Oil Painters of America (OPA) and American Women Artists (AWA), as well as the International Museum of Contemporary Masters in Fine Art in San Antonio. Her landscape At Sunset was chosen among 100 artists worldwide for the book How Did You Paint That?, a publication of International Artist Magazine. The constant challenge of new subjects stretches her abilities as an artist and allows her to return to her favorite subjects with new knowledge and perception.
Her work can be found in many public and private collections. SOURCE:
